Parnells Café Bar (to give it its full title) is obviously not a pub. It's a trendy bar / place to eat. If you're out with your work colleagues from the office and you're only having a couple, this is the perfect place. Would also be good for a date. Or you can go with a large group of mates and sit on the comfy-as-fuck couches and pretend you're in an episode of Friends......
TV - 0.5/5 - They have one but it shows shite all the time.
Ale - 3.5/5 - Nice selection. Nice taste. Bud and Amstell on tap.
Staff - Nice selection. Nice taste. Pretty ladies!
Decor - 4/5 - They've gone for the clean modern look (black walls, wooden floor)
Atmosphere - Friendly but can be snobbish. 20's-40's welcome. No chins.
Toilets - 2.5/5 - Creaky floor lets people know when you've finished pissing.
Quiet background music during the day (unfortunately Jameroquai's greatest hits when we went) is replaced later on with some loud dance stuff......but there's no dance floor so what's the point? Also, one of us was having a scran in here one time and there was a cockroach running along the wall by the window.
